At UC Santa Barbara, our Pi Beta Phi chapter, California Zeta, is part of a national sisterhood founded on April 28, 1867, at Monmouth College in Illinois. We uphold Pi Beta Phi's core values of integrity, lifelong commitment, honor and respect, personal and intellectual growth, philanthropic service, and sincere friendship. Our national philanthropy, "Read > Lead > Achieve," reflects our dedication to promoting literacy through various initiatives such as reading programs, book drives, fundraisers, volunteer events and more.At UCSB, we are actively involved in social events, sisterhood bonding, leadership development, and philanthropic work, all while contributing to the broader campus community. Each year, thousands of women become members of Pi Beta Phi, joining one of our more than 130 chapters across North America. Pi Phi's collegiate chapters are divided into nine regions––see where each chapter is located here.
